So you’ve got a bunch of skincare products to put on, but which one do you apply first?
First of all you should always clean your skin to remove any makeup or dirt before using any skincare products. Otherwise, the skincare product will have a hard time passing through to your skin, making the product less effective than it actually is.
Next up, you want to start with the skincare product that has the lightest consistency and finish off with the heaviest consistency. So that means you should use gel-based products before serum-based, serums before lotions, and lotions before creams. Keep in mind, of course, that you may not use all these products in one setting. The important tip here is that if you use the heavier product first, you will prevent the lighter consistency product from penetrating through to your skin. So use the light-weight product first.
